Am I Buying Authentic Frontline Plus?
When you buy any product online, including Frontline Plus, there is always the concern that what you are buying isn't the real product, but rather a cheap knock-off designed to make you think that it's real. According to the EPA, there are some indications that fake Frontline is being sold online. However, if you know what to look for, it is relatively easy to make sure that what you have purchased is the real deal. Here are some ways to do that.
If you look inside the box, the Frontline product is packed inside a foil blister pack that contains the individual applicators. In the authentic product that has been packed for sale in the U.S., the blister pack will have instructions written on it that you should use sissors to open the foil or to life and remove the plastic tab to reveal the foil. This blister pack should be black and white. Some of the fake products can contain colored packaging and writing that is in a foreign language.
Next, you compare the lot number on the applicator to the lot number on the outside carton. They should match.
Inside, there should be a sheet with instructions that contains the following: Instructions for using the product, statement about disposal of the product, first aid information and an emergency U.S. telephone number, and a precautionary statement about for both humans and pets.
The label on the applicator product for dogs should include the size of the dog in pounds, not metrics.
The product should be contained in an applicator package that is child resistant. The directions for opening this package should contain an illustration that looks like the actual applicator package.
These tips should easily allow you to determine whether the product is genuine, and therefore safe to use.If you are still unsure, you can go to here to see images that will help identify authentic product.
